Kosmas Marinakis joined SMU in 2019. His expertise includes Microeconomics, Industrial Organization and Design of Incentives. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University (2008). He has held academic positions at Wake Forest University (USA), University of Cyprus and Higher School of Economics (Russia). His research has been published in leading disciplinary journals in Economics such as International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economics and Economics Bulletin. His current research focuses on Economics of Education and Communication of Science with asynchronous and synchronous methods of digital teaching. He is the Director of the Digital Learning Unit of CIS at SMU and a science videographer.
