Faculty Profile

Loo Wee Ling is Associate Professor of Law (Education) at the Singapore Management University’s Yong Pung How School of Law. Her scholarship focuses on contract law, consumer protection, access to justice, and pedagogy, with current research examining the operation of s 75 of the Malaysian Contract Act, collaborative and personalised learning methodologies, and the use of large language models to enhance legal reasoning through automated guidance. She is the editor of the forthcoming fourth edition of Principles of Singapore Business Law, the principal text for SMU’s Business Law module, and the author of Law of Credit and Security (2012). Her recent pedagogical work includes co-leading the production of legal ethics awareness videos for SMU law students, and for integration by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education in its Ethics Module in the Part A Course of the Singapore Bar Examinations. She teaches Contract Law 1 & 2, Business Law, and Ethics and Social Responsibility at SMU.
