Michael GAN Tin Hua
Associate Professor Emeritus of Accounting Gan Tin Hua was a member of the planning team at SMU, tasked with the responsibility of space programming of the University campuses.
Associate Professor Gan is a Chartered Accountant. Before joining academia, he had worked in the international accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co in London for a number of years. His working experience included auditing, taxation, insurance and construction accounting and estate management. His academic career spanned over 30 years, beginning with the University of Singapore in 1969, NUS in 1981, NTU in 1988 and SMU in 1999. He had taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in financial accounting, auditing, information system and income tax.
