Pearlie Koh is Associate Professor at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University, and an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Her expertise lies in corporate law, with particular emphasis on corporate theory, shareholder rights, directors’ duties, corporate accountability, and minority shareholder protection. She is co-author of a seminal corporate law textbook published by Academy Publishing and author of an influential casebook on company law. Her publications also include Company Law (LexisNexis, 3rd ed.) and articles in leading local and international peer-reviewed journals, including the Cambridge Law Journal, The Law Quarterly Review, and the Modern Law Review. Her scholarship has been cited by the Singapore Court of Appeal, the Singapore High Court, the Malaysian Federal Court, and the England and Wales High Court, particularly in decisions concerning shareholder oppression remedies, corporate procedural irregularities, and directors’ duties. Her work has been recognised in both academic and judicial contexts.
