Yun Lee joined Singapore Management University in 2019 after completing his PhD in accounting at London Business School. His research focuses on the role of transparency in financial institutions and credit markets. He is also working on recent technological shifts in the financial industry. Before academia, he was an auditor, a consultant, and a finance manager at PwC, IBM, and Samsung in New York and Seoul.
Hye Sun Chang joined SMU in 2015. She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Accountancy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and B.S. in Business Administration from Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea). Her research interests lie in capital market research topics, including earnings quality, analyst forecasts, and financial derivatives. Also, her teaching interests include financial accounting and reporting.
Dr. Yin Wang is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Singapore Management University (SMU). He earned his PhD in Management Science (Accounting) from HEC Paris and was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Before entering academia, he led a team in the Management Control Department at BNP Paribas in Paris, where he focused on risk and finance within the leasing investment and finance sector.
Dr David Ocón joined SMU in 2018. He is an interdisciplinary cultural historian and anthropologist who analyses ASEAN cultural relations and diplomacy with other countries in the Asian region, in particular China, Japan, and South Korea. He also works at the intersection of nature and cultural heritage preservation, digitalisation, and sustainable urban environments in Southeast Asia.
Colm Fox is an Associate Professor of Political Science at SMU. He studies elections, ethnic politics, media, social movements and protest in Southeast Asia. His work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Political Communication, Comparative Political Studies, Journalism Studies and Democratization. His monograph ‘Bonding, Bridging, and Bypassing: Understanding Ethnic Politics in Diverse Societies’ has recently been published by Oxford University Press.
Fan, Haoqing Grace joined SMU in 2020. She obtained her PhD in Accounting at INSEAD, MPAcc degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Bachelor's degree in Accounting at Sun Yat-Sen University. Her research interests include the role of disclosure and accounting regulation in the public sector, pension accounting, and accounting valuation. She is also enthusiastic about conducting multidisciplinary studies between economy/finance and accounting. She has experiences in auditing, banking, and equity research industries.
Dr. Liandong Zhang is Professor of Accounting at School of Accountancy at the Singapore Management University. He joined Singapore Management University in 2017 as the Associate Dean (Research) at School of Accountancy. Dr. Zhang graduated from Tsinghua University, Beijing and received his PhD Degree in Accounting from Nanyang Technological University in 2008. He has previously taught at the Concordia University in Canada and City University of Hong Kong. His current research interests include financial reporting quality, corporate governance, and taxation.
