Clarence is an Associate Professor of Accounting (Practice) and the Assistant Dean for Lifelong Learning at Singapore Management University’s School of Accountancy. He joined SMU in 2016, after receiving his PhD from Nanyang Technological University.
Clarence conducts research that examines judgment & decision making and digital transformation in accounting. He is also the recipient of multiple teaching awards, including the Howard Teall Award for Innovation in Accounting Education.
Prior to joining SMU, Clarence led the Asia-Pacific Corporate Research team at Jones Lang LaSalle (Corporate Solutions). He has also held various accounting and finance appointments with Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
