Joshua Luczak is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy (Education). He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario in 2015. His research interests include the philosophy of climate science, environmental ethics, and the philosophy of science. Recently, he has been thinking a lot about geoengineering and its role in combating anthropogenic climate change.
Nathan’s research is dedicated to alleviating poverty and inequality in Southeast Asia, with a focus on Singapore and Indonesia. His work aims to help us better understand the forces influencing inequality, underdevelopment, and poverty, as well as their consequences. He also studies how political, social, and economic forces interact to determine the long-term developmental potential of a country.
Sovan Patra is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Integrative Studies and the School of Social Sciences at SMU. Here, he teaches Big Questions, Critical Thinking in the Real World and Interdisciplinary Perspectives and Methods.
Serena Wee is Professor of Psychology at Singapore Management University. Her research focuses on personnel selection, vocational interests, cognitive abilities, career development, workplace diversity, and quantitative research methods. Her work examines how individual differences influence educational and workplace outcomes, with a particular interest in improving personnel selection and career decision-making.
Dr. Evelyn Au is an Assistant Professor of Psychology (Education). She earned her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Prior to re-joining SMU, she was a Senior Lecturer at Nanyang Technological University, having co-developed the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core module on Healthy Living & Wellbeing and taught Health Psychology.
