Dr Themin Suwardy is an Associate Professor of Accounting (Practice) with the SMU School of Accountancy. Before his current appointment as Associate Provost (PGP Education), he was Dean of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (2016-2021), looking after SMU portfolio of Masters programme with an annual intake of over 1,400 students. Prior to joining academia, Themin was an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Elvin Lim joined SMU in 2017. He is the Dean, College of Integrative Studies, Professor of Political Science, and the Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre. He specializes in presidential and executive politics, political communication, political development, political thought, and constitutional law. He is the author of The Lovers Quarrel: The Two Foundings and American Political Development (Oxford University Press, 2014) and The Anti-Intellectual Presidency: The Decline of Rhetoric from George Washington to George W.
Professor Angela Leung joined SMU in 2007. She received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and B.Soc.Sc. from the University of Hong Kong. Her research examines how complex, contradictory, and challenging issues can be transformed into opportunities so that people and society can thrive. Her research topics include multiculturalism and creativity, cosmopolitanism and globalization, paradox management, working motherhood, and environmental psychology.
Jimmy obtained his Bachelor of Accountancy (1st Class Honours) from Nanyang Technological University in 2002, Masters of Science and Ph.D. in Accounting from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Prior to his doctoral program, Jimmy was a Tax Associate at PwC Tax Consulting Services and a Lecturer of Accounting at SMU. He enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with his family.
