Eugene K.B. Tan is associate professor of law at SMU’s Yong Pung How School of Law. His inter-disciplinary research interests include constitutional and administrative law, the government and politics of Singapore, the regulation of ethnic conflict, and the ethical and policy framework for artificial intelligence. Eugene regularly teaches in the law, business, and social sciences schools at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education levels.
Emily Soon joined SMU in 2020. Her research focuses on cross-cultural literary exchange between Asia and Europe in the premodern and modern eras. At SMU, she teaches courses exploring Asia’s place in global literary culture, as well as on how literature (and literary study) are changing in today’s digital age.
