Professor Lily Kong is the fifth President and the first Singaporean to lead Singapore Management University. She is also the first Singaporean woman to serve as President of any university in Singapore. She holds the Lee Kong Chian Chair Professorship of Social Sciences, with a courtesy appointment at the College of Integrative Studies. She was previously Provost of SMU (2015-2018). Before that, she held various senior management roles at the National University of Singapore.

Chandran Kukathas is Professor of Political Science at Singapore Management University. He was Dean of SMU’s School of Social Sciences and Lee Kong Chian Chair Professor of Political Science from 2019 to 2024 . Prior to joining SMU, he was Head, Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2015 to 2019. He also served as the Chair of Political Theory in the Department of Government and as Warden of High Holborn and Grosvenor House Halls of Residence at LSE. Prof. Devin Joshi is a faculty member and Associate Professor in the School of Social Sciences at SMU and was previously Associate Professor at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. He received his BA from Stanford University, MA from the University of Hawai’i and PhD from the University of Washington. The courses he teaches at SMU are Introduction to Political and Policy Studies, Comparing Political Systems, and Gender Politics: Exclusion and Empowerment.

Dr. Prasart JONGJAROENKAMOL joined the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University in 2017. Prior to joining SMU SOA, he received his PhD in Accounting from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. His teaching interests are managerial accounting and financial accounting. Before commencing his PhD study, Prasart was an audit assistant at KPMG in Bangkok and an accounting lecturer at Thammasat University. Prasart is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis (CSCA).

Aurelio Gurrea-Martínez is Professor of Law at the Singapore Management University Yong Pung How School of Law. His research lies at the intersection of law and finance, with particular emphasis on corporate governance, capital markets, financial regulation and corporate insolvency law, and how legal and institutional reforms may promote entrepreneurship, innovation, access to finance and economic growth.
