Sustainable Living

Dr Kenneth Tan is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the School of Social Sciences at Singapore Management University. He obtained his BS and MA from the National University of Singapore, and his PhD from Purdue University (USA). He was also the recipient of the Singapore Ministry of Education Early Career Award. His field of research is in social-personality psychology, with a focus on examining cognition, emotion, motivation and behavior in the context of close, interpersonal relationships.

Eugene K.B. Tan is associate professor of law at SMU’s Yong Pung How School of Law. His inter-disciplinary research interests include constitutional and administrative law, the government and politics of Singapore, the regulation of ethnic conflict, and the ethical and policy framework for artificial intelligence. Eugene regularly teaches in the law, business, and social sciences schools at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education levels.

Dr Themin Suwardy is an Associate Professor of Accounting (Practice) with the SMU School of Accountancy. Before his current appointment as Associate Provost (PGP Education), he was Dean of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (2016-2021), looking after SMU portfolio of Masters programme with an annual intake of over 1,400 students. Prior to joining academia, Themin was an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick.

Dr Ishani Mukherjee joined SMU in 2018. Her expertise include policy formulation and design; environmental and natural resource policy and management; policy tools for renewable energy and energy efficiency, particularly in Asia. She received her PhD in Public Policy from NUS, with a concentration on Environmental Policy and was the recipient of the World Future Foundation PhD Prize for Environmental and Sustainability Research in 2014.

Elvin Lim is the founding Dean, College of Integrative Studies, Professor of Political Science, and the Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre.
