Hye Sun Chang joined SMU in 2015. She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Accountancy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and B.S. in Business Administration from Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea). Her research interests lie in capital market research topics, including earnings quality, analyst forecasts, and financial derivatives. Also, her teaching interests include financial accounting and reporting.
Dr. Yin Wang is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Singapore Management University (SMU). He earned his PhD in Management Science (Accounting) from HEC Paris and was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Before entering academia, he led a team in the Management Control Department at BNP Paribas in Paris, where he focused on risk and finance within the leasing investment and finance sector.
Samuel Tan joined Singapore Management University as an Assistant Professor of Accounting in 2018. He previously received a double degree in Accounting and Economics from SMU in 2011, a master’s degree in Statistics from NUS in 2013, and an MS and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015 and 2018 respectively
Dr David Ocón joined SMU in 2018. He is an interdisciplinary cultural historian and anthropologist who analyses ASEAN cultural relations and diplomacy with other countries in the Asian region, in particular China, Japan, and South Korea. He also works at the intersection of nature and cultural heritage preservation, digitalisation, and sustainable urban environments in Southeast Asia.
