Al Lim is a Presidential Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Singapore Management University. His research examines how people navigate value, risk, and uncertainty in Southeast Asia’s rapidly changing financial and technological landscapes. His current book project, Risking Fortune, explores the social worlds of Thailand's crypto economy, drawing on more than two years of ethnographic fieldwork in Bangkok and across the region. His work has appeared in Urban Geography, Environment and Planning E: Nature and Space, and The Journal of the Siam Society, and he was awarded the H.

Dr Colin Tan is both a qualified doctor as well as a qualified lawyer. After stints in medical practice and legal practice, he served as a District Judge, initially in the Subordinate Courts and later in the Family Justice Courts, for over 13 years where he presided over divorce, division of matrimonial assets, maintenance, family violence, mental capacity and probate cases. During his time in the judiciary, he held various concurrent appointments, including Judge-Advisor for Information Technology and Senior Director of the Singapore Judicial College.

BIO

Dr. Ahmadreza Mostajabi is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Singapore Management University. He completed his PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School. His research focuses on areas such as innovation, competitive dynamics, and platform strategy, with an emphasis on how firms adapt their strategy in response to changes in competition and other market dynamics.

Dr. Jeffrey Grove is currently a Lecturer of Political Science at Singapore Management University. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Washington, where he was the Duck Family Graduate Fellow at the Center for Environmental Politics and affiliated with the Washington Institute for the Study of Inequality and Race. Prior to joining SMU, he taught American politics, political theory, and constitutional law at the University of Washington.

Leon Gim Lim is an Assistant Professor of Marketing (Education) at the College of Integrative Studies (CIS) at Singapore Management University. Her research interests lie primarily in the examination of the outcomes of marketing actions from the perspectives of different stakeholders. Specifically, she is particularly interested in investigating the accountability and/or financial impact of marketing actions such as pricing, customer satisfaction, mergers and acquisitions, and vertical integration.

Ken Benoit is Dean and Professor of Computational Social Science at the School of Social Sciences, Singapore Management University. He was Director of the Data Science Institute at LSE from 2020 to 2024.
